Ankeny Library Has Tons Going on Today: This and More in Ankeny's Five Things for Wednesday

Here's what is going on in Ankeny today and other tidbits for Wednesday, March 14.

 

1) Books and a Bite

Books and a Bite will be held this afternoon at Kirkendall Public Library. The program is a book group for kids in third through fifth grade. Books and a Bite starts at 3:15 p.m.

2) Lenten Soup Supper is Tonight

Tonight, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny will hold its Lenten soup supper from 5-6:15 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

3) Take Part in Story Time This Week

Are your kids fans of story time at the Kirkendall Public Library? If so, story time is scheduled every morning at the library. You can check out our events calendar for details on when story time is held and how you can register your kids for the fun event.

4) On Deck for Tomorrow

Put on those pajamas and head to the library Thursday! Kirkendall Public Library is hosting a family pajama party at 6 p.m. Wear your pajamas, be sure to bring your favorite stuffed animal and enjoy stories, a craft and a bedtime snack.

    5) The Weather

    If you thought yesterday was nice, just wait till today. The forecast for today is calling for sunny skies with a near-record high temperature of 79 degrees! If you can avoid working today, do it and make sure to spend the day outside! Tonight, expect isolated thunderstorms and an overnight low near 52 degrees.
