Ankeny Mayor Launches Inaugural Bike Ride on High Trestle Trail
The Ankeny Mayor Gary Lorenz has prepared two bicycle rides for the launch of his inaugural ride Saturday.
Mayor Gary Lorenz's inaugural Mayor’s Bike Ride is set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Ankeny Park & Ride at 210 NW Ash.
Riders can choose from either a 15-mile route for the avid bicyclist to the Oasis located on the High Trestle Trail or a family friendly 3.5-mile route on the High Trestle Trail.
Ankeny Fire Department will be on hand to promote bicycle safety month and will check equipment including helmets.
