Ankeny SummerFest 2012: Sunday Schedule of Events

Ankeny SummerFest 2012 continues today! Here's a schedule of events for the final day of the four-day festival.

 

Ankeny SummerFest 2012 concludes today with tons of activities for the entire family.

To help make things easy for you, here's the schedule of events for Sunday, July 15. A majority of these events occur at Prairie Ridge Sports Complex, located at 1315 N.W. State St. Locations will be noted accordingly.

Here's a hint — plug the address for Prairie Ridge Middle School (1010 N.W. Prairie Ridge Dr.) into your GPS to find the parking.

7 a.m. to 5 p.m.: "Cycle for Sight" Bicycle Ride

8 a.m.: Ankeny Optimist Summerfest 5k/1 Mile Run/Hawk Trot

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Men's Slow Pitch Softball Tournament

10 a.m.: SummerFest Worship Service

  • Where: Wagner Park Band Shell, 410 W. First St.

1-4 p.m.: Corks & Caps — Iowa Wine and Craft Beer Festival

  • Where: Prairie Ridge Sports Complex, Leisure Garden

1-5 p.m.: Children's Creative Activities

1-9 p.m.: Ankeny High School Cheerleading Family Miniature Golf

  • Where: Prairie Ridge Sports Complex

3 p.m.: Ankeny Community Theatre Vignettes

3-4 p.m.: Kids Pedal Tractor Pull

4-7 p.m.: WOOFStock

  • Where: Prairie Ridge Sports Complex, Leisure Garden

5-6 p.m.: Leonard's Dance Expo

7 p.m.: Ankeny Idol - Karaoke Contest

7-9:45 p.m.: Sunday Night Band — Langer Hayes Band

  • Where: Prairie Ridge Sports Complex, Leisure Garden

9 p.m.: Golf Ball Drop

  • Where: Prairie Ridge Sports Complex, Leisure Garden

10-10:35 p.m.: Fireworks

  • Where: Prairie Ridge Sports Complex
