Ankeny Unplugged Announces Music Lineup for This Summer
The outdoor concert series features live, local bands each Saturday night in June.
Ankeny Unplugged announces the lineup for the 2012 music festival series. Taking the stage the first four Saturdays in June, the event headliners include Parlours, Caroline Smith, Fierce Bad Rabbit and Christopher the Conquered.

Ankeny Unplugged is an annual family-friendly music festival series in Ankeny. The only event of its kind in Ankeny and sponsored in-kind by the City of Ankeny, the series features live music, food vendors, and an art and craft market. AU takes place the first four Saturdays in June at the Ankeny Band Shell in Wagner Park. Tickets are $3 at the door and kids 12 and under get in free, and the festivities run from 4-9 p.m.
All proceeds benefit residents in the form of scholarships, charitable donations and community events. Organized by the Ankeny Jaycees, Ankeny Unplugged is staffed solely by volunteers. The Jaycees provides young professionals opportunities to develop personal and leadership skills through local community action and organizational involvement.
