Five Things for Tuesday in Ankeny: DMACC Thanksgiving, Wendy's and Mild Temps
Here's what is going on in Ankeny today and other tidbits for Nov. 15.
1) Thanksgiving at DMACC
DMACC students, you have lunch plans for Tuesday. The Student Activities Council will hold its annual Thanksgiving dinner for students in the hallway of building 5. The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
2) Ankeny Patch Office Hours
Just because Ankeny Patch doesn't have a store front doesn't mean you can't visit us during the work week. Today, we'll be at Palmers Deli & Market from 12-3 p.m. We encourage you to stop by, say hello and share a story idea or two!
3) Southeast Elementary Wendy's Night
It's Tuesday and it's dinner time - where to go? Think about having dinner at Wendy's tonight. From 5-8 p.m., a portion of all proceeds will go to benefit the Southeast Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization.
4) Knitting in Good Company
Kirkendall Public Library will hold its Sit and Knit program on Tuesday night at 6:15 p.m. All ages and skill levels are welcome for a relaxing and informal evening of knitting. Participants can bring a project in progress or beginners can learn the basics. Crocheters are also welcome. There is no cost to attend the program.
5) The Weather
Today we'll see partly cloudy skies with more mild temperatures. The high today is expected to be in the upper 50s with an overnight low near 27.
