2) It's Time for HawkFest!
Ankeny High School students, don't forget your Frisbees, footballs and blankets when you head to school today. Why? Because today marks the first annual HawkFest. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., students will be treated to a grill out and a couple hours of fun activities as part of the school's new Youmanity program, which encourages students to pay it forward and do good things for other people.
3) On Deck For Tomorrow — Become an Ankeny Optimist
Also, the Ankeny Optimist Club will hold its monthly meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at Godfather's Pizza, located on North Ankeny Boulevard. All are welcome to attend.
