As a Ron Paul supporter, no, I do not believe many other RP supporters will vote for Romney. The reason for me is that Romney has not and can not differentiate himself from Obama. They (and most establishment Republicans) are almost indistinguishable except for the (D) or (R) by their name. Personally I don't want either party to be able to get their agenda through. I'll probably vote Obama for pres and support the republican congress. I'd much rather them sit in gridlock than pass any of their moronic spending and pork bills.

By the time Romney loses, we will be in Galt's Gulch laughing our asses off. We tried, Ron. I will never vote for a candidate that attempts to win the nomination through media marginalization and literal physical strong-arming. A vote for Obama or Romney is a vote for Goldman Sachs/J.P. Morgan. They may rule us like kings (or the mob), but I sure as hell won't condone it.

I don't think that most of Ron Paul's supporters will back Mitt Romney because they are supporting Ron Paul because he is the one candidate in the Republican field who supports the message of freedom, liberty, and limited constitutional government. I would expect Ron Paul supporters to continue work for reform in the GOP and elsewhere and to refine their message into a compelling program for less government by 2016. You just need to look up "voter fraud Ron Paul" on youtube to see the kind of people Romney has working for his campaign all over the country. There can be no love for Romney and perhaps four more years of Obama enacting neocon policies like the NDAA will sicken enough democrats and Romney's inability to win accompanied by the obvious moral malaise in the Republican Party will prompt a rethink in their ranks. There is really no differance with the republicans and democrats as their policies have brought the country where it is today. They will llie or do anything to maintain the big government status quo. Let us not forget that voting machines as they are now can be programed to give results as needed and not record the true vote requested by everyday voters. You cannot convince me that this has not been done this go around. Ron Paul must make up his mind not to support his son Rand as I believe Rand has become part of the problem. Everyone has worked their tails off for Ron Paul and he must follow through with the leadership he has given us. Period.

I voted other because it all depends on Romney and how his campaign decides to respond. His views and policies are the same as Obama's in all the important issues, like foreign policy, both want to engage in war with Iraq, both supported and facilitated the massive bailouts, both supported the NDAA, the extrajudicial assassination of American citizens without due process, the use of drones that sometimes kill the bad guys but often kill a bunch of innocent people, both want to continue the unsustainable spending. I really don't see the liberty people coming over to Romney's camp, Can you?

I think Mitt could make a move to court us Paul supporters but i don't beleive he'll actually do it. If he doesn't, Obama wins because w/o Paul supporters there is no enthusiasm. If he does make a play it will have to be a big one (VP pick, BIG platform motion that Mitt actually backs in debates) even that won't sway the majority of us but a solid effort may swing a few people who are terrified of Obama. Either way the US will continue this downward trend for another 4 years.

It depends on whether Romney is willing to credibly promise something substantial enough to get Ron's supporters on board. Right now it looks to many that whether you vote for Obama or Romney, we'll get more bailouts, spending and wars. Romney has to do something dramatic to tilt them his way. They'll never embrace him as his vision of government is so dramatically different, but if he gives them a specific, credible promise straight off the liberty agenda he might get many of their votes. Audit the Fed? Clearly swear he will ask Congress for declaration before starting a new war? Submit a budget to Congress that cuts spending by at least $1? Something like that. But I doubt it, particularly the last one.

No. Why would people like me who are the true conservatives and true Republicans do that? We believe in smaller government, obeying the Constitution, no policing the world, stop killing little brown children with drones, audit the Federal Reserve and eventually end it, reducing the debt, etc... We see that the monetary system is moving wealth from the middle-class and the poor to the rich by the inflation tax. We are the educated ones who know that the Keynsians were, and will always be, wrong. Why would we vote for a Wilsonian Progressive? Why would be support a spend-happy, kill-happy Neocon Plastic-man who would serve the banksters and not the people? No thanks, I'll stick with liberty.

Ron Paul may get the nomination. Anything can happen. I won't vote for Romney. I will vote third party...probably for Gary Johnson. Ron Paul would have to file with my state to become a write in candidate. It doesn't look like he will do that, so my vote would go to Johnson.

As a Ron Paul supporter both this election and the previous there is no way I would support Mitt Romney or Barrack Obama. Does anyone really know what Romney would do specifically to fix anything? Where's the plan? Obama has no clue to what the Constitution says and he is supposed to be a Constitutional scholar. The fact that he has put the same criminals that were responsible for the economic collapse in positions of high regard in his administration should be alarming to anyone that calls themselves American. What do you all think about Gary Johnson? I talked with a Libertarian the other day at Sturgis Falls in Cedar Falls and he said he wished Ron Paul would run as a Libertarian so they could get enough of the presidential vote to be validated in future elections. Still, I'm surprised Johnson doesn't get more support given that he and Paul have similar views.

Like most other Paul supporters here, this is about principles, and our constitutional liberties. Romney openly deferred comment to Dr. Paul as the 'constitutionalist' at one of the debates. (Stupid move). There is no difference between the two 'frontrunners' with both being backed by G. Sachs, and both supporting NDAA. Seriously, ANYONE supporting the NDAA is committing treason! I have supported Ron Paul since 2007. NO - I do not think most Ron Paul supporters will support Romney because the Republican Party has been so underhanded during the primary. It's no longer a matter of liberal versus conservative or Republican versus Democrat. It is statists versus anti-statists. That being said, I'm having trouble resisting the "Anything's better than Obama" idea. I can say I wrote in Ron Paul in 2008, but I really don't know what to do this time. People who support Ron Paul do so for his policies. Mitt Romney supports the massive taxpayer funded bailouts both TARP and Obama's Stimulous, Mitt Romney and Obama supported the NDAA and the indefinite detention of American citizens without due process. Mitt Romney passed the blueprint for Obamacare and now wants to deny it. Mitt Romney supports invading Iran, and getting us into yet another unconstitutional, undeclared war. Ron Paul on the other hand has consistently voted against undeclared wars, bank bailouts, and the unconstitutional mandate created by Obama's affordable care act. Ron Paul has been right about the war in Iraq, the impending financial crisis in 2008, the NDAA, and is now warning about another war in Iran. So taking all this into consideration, NO. Ron Paul supporters will not vote for Romney. They'll either write in Ron Paul's name (as I myself plan on doing) or they'll vote for Gary Johnson, or they'll just stay at home. Mitt Romney cannot count on us.

This Ron Paul supporter and registered Republican of twenty years has absolutely no intention of voting for Mitt Romney. He is too much like Obama in all that he stands for and I can not vote for him in a clear conscience. After all the Romney campaign and the RNC have done to silence Ron Paul and our support, I will also be leaving the GOP , registering as a Libertarian and never voting for another Republican again unless they are clearly for the constitution and the people, which means I probably won't be voting for many Republicans ever again because the party has been co-opted by neoconservatives and sell outs.
