READERS' CHOICE: Only a Few Hours Left to Vote for Your Favorite Ankeny Breakfast Spot
In our fifth local Readers' Choice contest and in honor of Mother's Day, we're asking Ankeny residents to vote for their favorite place to grab coffee, breakfast or brunch.
As our contest in which we asked readers to choose their favorite breakfast spot in Ankeny draws to close, Topped Doughnuts is still on top with 38 percent of the vote.
Readers have until 12 p.m. Sunday to vote. The winner will be announced later that day.
Close behind Topped Doughnuts are CJ's Bagels with 20 percent of the vote, followed by Ankeny Café with 18 percent of the vote.
For those of you who haven't voted yet, channel your inner breakfast-eater and cast your vote in our Readers’ Choice contest. Nine local businesses are in the running, but only one can be declared the Readers’ Choice.

Readers can vote in our poll for their favorite breakfast spot once per day. Make sure you leave a comment or review for your pick because these count for points in determining the winner and are also used to break a tie.

Cafe Diem is the absolute best place in Ankeny to wake up! Their service is top notch, friendly and always greet me and my family with a smile. They even know my car. Not only do they give me extra stickers for my two boys but when I have my dog riding with me they have treats for him. I love my coffee and I go out of my way to get to Cafe Diem.

I just for the first time tried Topped Donuts and it is AMAZING! I had heard about them since they opened, but I have two food allergic children that make it tough to eat out anywhere and all donuts are off limits in our house. I plan on heading back there over memorial day weekend to sample another while my family is out of town without me! :)
