Lightning Last Night, Snow Today? You Bet Your Barometer

Last night's forecast called for weather we typically see in late March or early April, but don't worry — we'll be back on track today as snow could move into the area.

Thunderstorms in February? This is Iowa, after all. Don't put anything past our weather.

We saw a little bit of lightning in our area Tuesday night, but don't put those boots away yet. There is a chance of light snow today, although the Ankeny area may dodge it as a majority of the snow is expected near and along Highway 20.

We won't dodge the wind, though, as the forecast is calling for a windy Wednesday with gusts ranging from 25 to 35 mph.
