When Does ‘The Hobbit’ Open: Trailer, Show Times, Ticket Information
From the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, here comes an Unexpected Journey.
You remember "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, right?
Well, it's time now for another epic tale from middle Earth. "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" opens Dec. 13 and it's not too soon to figure out where you'll watch.
According to IMDB.com, the movie traces the story of "a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, (who) journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug."
The fantasy film based in a land of elves, wizards and hobbits starts with midnight showings the night of Thursday, Dec. 13, with its "official" opening on Dec. 14.
The film debuts at Springwood 9 Theatres in Ankeny Thursday with a 12:01 a.m. midnight showing. Tickets can be purchased directly from the theater's website.
Regular showtimes at Springwood start Friday, Dec. 14.
