Saturday April 28th the Ankeny Cub Scout Pack’s of the Hawkeye District Mid-Iowa Council, BSA will be holding their ‘Tiger Cub Blitz 2012’ Spring Cub Scout Recruiting Event. This exciting event will be held at the Wagner Park Band Shell in Ankeny, Iowa from 9:00am till 12:00pm.  Parents, kids, and members of the community are invited to come out and learn about Cub Scouting.  Parents will be able to meet local scouting leaders and other volunteers to ask questions, get a feel for what Scouting is truly all about, and register their sons with local Cub Scout Packs. The boys will be participating in events and activities that talk about character, citizenship, and teamwork, There will be a Fire Truck with members of the Ankeny Fire Dept. and a Patrol car with a member of the Ankeny Police Dept. on display, and a lot of hands on activities and games to give our young people a chance to just plain have FUN!  This event is part of the Mid-Iowa Council’s ongoing programs to continue to build Scouting in our community.

So come out…learn about Scouting…and have some FUN!!!
