Free day of fishing for kids and families at Hawkeye Park in Ankeny. Each kid gets a bag of goodies and FREE worms. Great prizes will be given away all morning. If you need some practice there will be a casting demonstation. To pre-register visit www.ankenyoptimsts.org and click on the registration link. You can also register the day of the event. Look for the signs at the pavilion on the west side of the pond

More About Lakeside Center
Lakeside Center is a 3,500-square-foot facility that can be rented for a variety of different functions. The center has a 250-person maximum capacity and provides 250 chairs and 26 8-foot tables. Included in the rental fee are kitchen appliances such as a stove, refrigerator and freezer. Seventy-one parking spaces are available adjacent to the facility.
