Baby Boomers Bicycle Club Plans First Ride to High Trestle Trail Bridge

The City of Ankeny and the Ankeny Service Center have formed the Baby Boomers Bicycle Club for active older adults in town.

The City of Ankeny and Ankeny Service Center have teamed up to offer the "Baby Boomers Bicycle Club" for active, older adults in Ankeny.

The first ride is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 according to a city news release. Bicyclists will start at Thrive Nutrition, 1370 N.W. 18th St., Suite 102, and travel along Northwest 18th Street to the High Trestle Trail. Interested bicyclists will ride to the High Trestle Trail Bridge, where the annual Hawk Watch event is under way.

Participation in the Baby Boomers Bicycle Club is free.
