The event was held on March 2, and the Chamber is already planning to reprise the event in 2014.

From an Ankeny Chamber of Commerce media release:

The Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its inaugural 2013 Chamber Chill 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, March 2, on the Des Moines Area Community College campus in Ankeny.

The race had 250 participants and over 30 volunteers. Twenty-two local Chamber members sponsored the event including Presenting Sponsor, John Deere Des Moines Works and Snowflake Sponsors, A+ Lawn and Landscape, Monsanto Company, and Des Moines Area Community College. The event concluded with a Thaw Out After Party hosted by Wig & Pen Pizza Pub.
