1) Signed Up for Story Time?

Registered for story time this week at Kirkendall Public Library? It's held each morning during the week beginning at 9:15 a.m. Online pre-registration is required. Visit our events calendar for a full list of days and times, as well as find out how to register.

2) Attend a Public Meeting

Both the Ankeny school board and the Ankeny City Council will meet in regular session tonight. The school board will meet at 5 p.m. at the district office and the city council will meet at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

3) Terrace Wendy's Night

It's Monday and it's dinner time - where to go? Think about having dinner at Wendy's tonight. From 5-8 p.m., a portion of all proceeds will go to benefit the Terrace Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization.

4) Play Us a Christmas Song!

Middle school parents, there are several concerts being held this evening at both Parkview and Prairie Ridge middle schools. Among those are the 6:30 p.m. 6th Grade Maroon Chorus Concert at Prairie Ridge and the 6th/7th Early Bird Band Concert at Parkview. There will also be a 6th Grade Maroon/Gold Band Concert at Parkview and a 6th Grade Silver/Platinum Chorus Concert at Prairie Ridge at 7:30 p.m.

Some clouds this morning will give way to mainly sunny skies this afternoon. The high temperature today should be near 30 degrees, and the overnight low should dip close to 15 degrees.
