1) Great American Smokeout

Had that morning cigarette yet? Well, don't! Today is the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout, a day set aside for smokers throughout America to kick the nicotine right out of their lives. The day also helps bring awareness to the dangers of smoking and second-hand smoke.

2) Tot Time

Take the little ones to Tot Time today at the . Tot Time is a time set aside for kids and moms/caregivers to gather, play and get to know one another.Β  Tot Time is held in the library meeting room and begins at 10:15 a.m.

3) Regional Business After Hours

The encourages all Chamber members to attend November's on Thursday. The event will be held at Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Waukee, located at 755 Hickman Rd. Please RSVP if possible to the Waukee Chamber online or call 515-978-7115 with any questions.

4) Eat at Chili's, Support New Horizons (Day Two)

Didn't make it out to dinner last night? Then make it a must to go to tonight, located at 2601 S.E. Delaware Ave., because if you take with you, 10 percent will be taken off your meal and donated back to New Horizons Adult Day Center in Ankeny.

5) The Weather

Today will be mainly sunny with a high temperature around 50 degrees. Expect winds between 10 to 20 mph and an overnight low near 32 degrees.
