It's fair time, folks! For the next ten days, it will be all about rides, blue ribbons and foods on a stick as Iowans flock to our area in droves for the annual Iowa State Fair.

2) Meet and Greet with One Ankeny City Council Candidate

Ankeny City Council candidate Mona Bond will hold a meet and greet tomorrow at Tasteful Dinners in Ankeny, located at 121 S.E. Shurfine Dr. The event will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. Everyone is invited for snacks and to visit with Bond.

3) Alzheimer's Support Group is Tonight

is hosting an on  tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the group's location in the Neveln Center.The support group is free and open to the public. For more information on this group, please call volunteer facilitator Polly Johnston at 515-440-2722.

4) On Deck for Tomorrow

is back at . Tot Time is a time set aside for kids and moms and other caregivers to gather, play and get to know one another.  The event is held in the library meeting room and begins at 9:30 a.m.
