Party in Your Pajamas: This and More in Ankeny's Five Things for Thursday

1) Tot Time Will Be Held at the Library This Morning

This morning, take the little ones to Tot Time at the library. Tot Time is a time set aside for kids and moms/caregivers to gather, play and get to know one another.  Tot Time is held in the library meeting room and begins at 10:15 a.m.

2) Want to Learn How to Better Use Microsoft Word?

Did you take the Microsoft Word for Beginners class at Kirkendall Library earlier this month? If so, the library is offering an intermediate Word class tonight at 5:30 p.m. Participants in this class will learn to insert pictures, text boxes and columns to create brochures and posters.

3) Time for a Pajama Party

Put on those pajamas and head to the library tonight! Kirkendall Public Library is hosting a family pajama party at 6 p.m. Wear your pajamas, be sure to bring your favorite stuffed animal and enjoy stories, a craft and a bedtime snack.

4) On Deck for This Weekend

Ankeny Christian Academy will kickoff its student play, “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten," at 7 p.m. tonight at the school. Two performances also will be held tomorrow at 2 and 7 p.m. The cost to attend the show is $3. Tickets may be purchased between 7:45-8:15 a.m. and 3-3:20 p.m. at the ACA office or in the lobby before the show.

5) The Weather

Today, we'll see partly cloudy skies and another beautiful high temperature near 76 degrees. Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies to continue with an overnight low near 55 degrees.
