DON'T FORGET: City of Ankeny Holding Christmas Tree Pickup Today
City crews will make one pass through town to pick up trees.
From a city of Ankeny news release:
The City of Ankeny’s annual holiday tree pickup will be held today, Monday, January 14. Residents are required to place their tree in the city street right-of-way. City crews will make one pass through the community. Residents living in private developments or on private streets shall place their trees upon the city right-of-way to be picked up. City crews will not be driving on private streets or drives to pickup trees.
Trees shall be free of all ornaments, decorations, tree stands and plastic hauling bags. Please secure your tree to keep the tree from blowing onto the street and creating a traffic hazard. No other trees or branches will be collected during the pickup program.
