Police Chief Receives Hall of Honor Award

A former Ankeny High School graduate and Des Moines Police Chief was selected for the Alumni Association Hall of Honor award.

Ankeny High School graduate and Des Moines Police Chief, Judy Bradshaw, will receive the 2013 Ankeny Alumni Association Hall of Honor award, according to a report in the Des Moines Register.

Students of the class of 2013 selected Bradshaw for the honor.

Bradshaw graduated from Ankeny High School in 1977 and received an associate's degree in law enforcement from DMACC and received a bachelors and masters in public administration from Drake University. She has been the chief of police in Des Moines since 2007.

The Alumni Hall of Honor award was established in 1993 to recognize outstanding achievements and to promote role models for high school students.
