School Hosts Forum on Grading

The District will host public forums on grading at both high schools next week.

The Ankeny School District is continuing discussions on the implementation of standards-based grading according to an article in the Des Moines Register.

In standards-based grading, scores on homework and even failed tests don't matter so long as students can show they know their stuff before the class term ends.

The district will host public forums on how to evaluate student performance from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Ankeny Centennial High School and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at Ankeny High School.
