ReplyTo those participating in the discussion here, Rick's account as well as another user's have been temporarily suspended for an undetermined amount of time due to comments made on another article. I figured it would be a courtesy for you all to know why he'll be unable to engage with you further on this post. In the mean time, I'd encourage you all to take a break from this one and let it serve as reminder that on Patch, words DO matter.
Questions? Feel free to email me.

ReplyAnd they will keep disappearing if they continue to be used, so I'd ask you refrain from actually using specific racial slurs. Contrary to some of the arguments here, I'm not a fan of using offensive terms and language to make a point, and I think it's safe to say none of my co-workers, not to mention our other readers that tend to avoid these threads that get this core group of people going, do either. So please keep the arguments general and thoughtful.
If not, I'll turn Stephen loose. ;)
Thank you.
