Federal government out of control as phone spying expands

Another day, another major expansion of the scandals happening in DC.

First comes word that those "low level" IRS employees aren't very happy with being made the scapegoats, and are starting to name names.   And, oddly enough, the names are matching up with the names on the letters from the IRS that the targeted groups received.  The scandal is getting closer and closer to the White House.

With the phone records scandal, whistle blowers are now saying that 3 billion calls a day are cataloged, and it's not just Verizon phones.

But the biggest story is that a program called "PRISM" secretly taps into the servers at major internet companies in order to take your emails, photos, and other files.  These are programs which target the average American, not suspected terrorists, and not foreigners suspected of terrorism.  As more and more devices get connected to the internet, the number of things and the number of ways the government can dig into our lives will grow.  Unless we do something now, we will soon not have any privacy.  And this is all after the Director of National Intelligence said a couple months ago that they don't "wittingly" collect any data on Americans.  Ya, not so much.

And the "most transparent administration ever" is continuing to have problems being transparent and honest about what it is doing.  First watch Eric Holder, a key member of the "most transparent administration ever", refuse to answer a question under oath about whether or not he tapped Congress's phones.  Then see that they continued a Bush-era practice of having secret email addresses, and now are stonewalling efforts to find out what those emails are and what business they are conducting using them.

Their lack of transparency is not just with these scandals, either.  Secretary of State John Kerry went around Congress and even contradicted himself by giving Egypt over $1 billion in aid.

And it's not just the federal government which is out of control.  States desperate for money to feed the growing entitlement black hole are doing things like selling your private medical information.

Our government, both federal and state, is out of control.  With the logic they are using to justify what they are doing, there is nothing out of bounds for them.  They are using logic which makes it that they can take on any authority they want to get any data they want.

Stand up now and let Washington know it needs to end.
