Five Things Ankeny Residents Should Know: Tot Time, Networking and Breast Cancer Awareness

1) Ankeny Patch Has New "Office" Hours!

Just because Ankeny Patch doesn't have a store front doesn't mean you can't visit us during the work week. Starting this week, Ankeny Patch Local Editor Megan VerHelst will have "office hours" each Tuesday and Thursday, rotating these hours to various businesses and places throughout the community. Today, we'll see you at from 12-3 p.m. We encourage you to stop by, say hello and share a story idea or two!

2) Business After Hours

The will hold its monthly today at US Bank from 4-6 p.m. This is a great way to network with other Chamber members and enjoy complimentary food and beverages.

3) Take the Little Ones to Tot Time This Morning

Take the lkids to Tot Time at the today. Tot Time is a time set aside for kids and moms/caregivers to gather, play and get to know one another.  Tot Time is held in the library meeting room and begins at 10:15 a.m.

4) Today's Little-Known Fact

Did you know October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month? This month is set aside especially for fighting breast cancer and recognizing those who've survived it. If you or someone you know has waged a battle against breast cancer, we want to share your story. Email Local Editor Megan VerHelst at megan.verhelst@patch.com today.
