Iowa College Football: Sept. 29 Iowa Homecoming, Updated Rosters and Where to Watch the Game in Ankeny

Cole Netten and Jorden Studer are among the Ankeny residents on Iowa college football rosters this season. Find out who Iowa, Iowa State and UNI are playing this weekend.

It's week five for college football and all three of Iowa's major university teams are back in action.

The Iowa Hawkeyes will attempt to recover from a shakey non-conference schedule with its first game of its Big Ten conference schedule this season. The Hawkeyes host Minnesota Golden Gophers at home at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City on Saturday, Sept. 29. Kickoff time is 11 a.m.

This is Iowa's homecoming game this year.

Iowa State will take on Texas Tech at home this weekend after taking last week off. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.

Finally, UNI will play host to North Dakota State Saturday night at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. It also is Family/Hall of Fame Weekend for the Panthers.

Whether you are in the stands or watching on TV this week or next, keep an eye out for Ankeny's Carter Brandt (82), a sophomore wide receiver who will take the field with the Panthers on Saturday.

If you're up in Ames, watch for Brandon Jensen (93). Jensen is a sophomore and a defensive lineman for ISU. Also suiting up for the Cyclones are freshman Cole Netten (1) and Jorden Studer (97), both standouts on last year's Ankeny Hawks football team that made it all the way to the state finals.

Staying in and putting that cable or satellite to good use? The Iowa game can be found on ESPN2 or ESPN.com, while the Panthers match-up against North Dakota State will be available on local stations KWWL 7.1 or WOI 5.2.
