Ankeny Hawks Will 'Think Pink' Tonight Against CB Lincoln

Ankeny fans will wear pink tonight for breast cancer awareness as the Hawks take on Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln in their last game of the regular season.

The Ankeny Hawks will head into the final week of their regular season tonight on a wave of pink.

Not only will the fifth-ranked Hawks take on Council Bluffs Lincoln (5-3) at Ankeny Stadium tonight, but the team's fans will cheer them on wearing shades of pink in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

The Hawks (7-1) have already clinched a portion of the CIML Central title after they .

Quarterback Joel Lanning put the Hawks on the scoreboard early in the first, hooking up with Marshall Clark for a 32-yard touchdown reception.

Lanning hit Clark again in the second quarter for a 70-yard touchdown play. Lanning finished the night with 127 passing yards.

This week should prove an interesting match-up against Lincoln as the team is looking for its fourth straight playoff trip. Last week the team notched a 21-17 win against Sioux City North.
