Kerry Walter-Ashby, Neighbor

I am an Ankeny native and a graduate of Ankeny High School. After living and working in Missouri and in Ames, I moved back to Ankeny in 2005. I enjoy teaching part-time at DMACC, Ankeny Community Education, and the Ankeny and Waukee Family YMCAs. I also enjoy volunteering, doing so as a member of the Ankeny Kiwanis Club, Ankeny Alumni Association, Ankeny Dollars For Scholars, Kiwanis Miracle League (www.kiwanismiracleleague.org), the Ankeny Miracle League Steering Committee, and Ankeny Backpack Buddies.  Through Ankeny Patch blog posts, I hope to encourage readers to explore ways to volunteer and give back to their community.
